SKC has offered our comprehensive one day hands-on practical training course since 2009.
Due to the popularity of the practical sessions, we’re expanding the hands-on elements of the course.
Our comprehensive course also includes:

- Exposure limits ‐ what they are, and how to monitor for compliance
- Dust/gas/vapour sampling - how, why, when with recognised methods
- Practical sampling exercises based on case studies, with equipment provided
- Interactive question time
Case studies are designed to showcase a range of air sampling equipment and techniques, applying to a variety of situations.
Case studies will include but are not limited to:
- Wood Dust
- Emery Dust
- Silica Dust
- Turpentine
- Formaldehyde
- Ozone
Who should attend?
This course is ideal for those responsible for workplace safety or overseeing staff. It is equally suitable for beginners, NEBOSH and Diploma holders requiring practical advice, or as a refresher course for current practitioners. Also, useful for managers looking to save time and money but still meet current legislation.
Course Information
The course runs from 9.00am to 3.30pm. All training course materials along with tea/coffee and lunch are provided. Whilst equipment will be available, delegates are welcome to bring their own for the practical sessions.
