Reprotoxic Hazards at Work Webinar, 28th November 2023 15:00-16:30 GMT

SKC Limited is proud to be sponsoring another webinar from Jans Babkevičs and Naadiya Mundy, this time on the important subject of ‘Reprotoxic Hazards at Work’.

Amongst the range of hazardous substances that people can be exposed to in the workplace, some carry specific health risks for the reproductive systems, including impaired fertility. These negative effects can occur in both male and female workers, however as more female workers take up previously male-dominated roles in manufacturing and engineering, better understanding of the risks and new risk-managements approaches are needed to protect all workers, regardless of gender.

The webinar will present the new pragmatic and non-discriminative approach to managing reprotoxic risks at work that allows to protect the reproductive health of all workers regardless of their gender. The approach focuses on the dose-response mechanisms and toxicology of reprotoxic substances and explaining how selecting an appropriate exposure limits and ensuring compliance with it through exposure monitoring will ensure the protection of the entire workforce without imposing any gender-based restrictions.

This webinar is formally accredited by "The CPD Group". All webinar attendees will receive the certificate of attendance and will be able to claim 2 CPD credits for their professional development.

At the end of the webinar, we will announce the launch of the application process for the “Global Occupational Hygiene Training Support 2024” bursary scheme that will cover the full cost of the OHTA W201 “Basic Principles in Occupational Hygiene” training module. A total of three bursaries will be awarded to successful applicants on behalf of SKC Ltd, Nexam Pty Ltd and Bitesize OH. Join the webinar to learn more about the selection process and eligibility criteria.
